I would like to know if there should be an email notification to admin when there is a new user on the site. So far I have not received any. Would be really great to have that.

Victor, Oxwall is an open source software and we can not physically add all features ourselves. So you can either modify the code yourself, get already created plug ins, or post a suggestion to http://oxwall.uservoice.com .
