fbconnect install/config error (APPLICATION SETUP FAILED.) - Facebook Connect | Forum

Hi everybody,

I am installing/configuring fbconnect and have some issues:

1) initially the fbconnect that come with Oxwall 1.8.4 was v10800

2) I have downloaded and installed v10825

Unfortunately when configuring (AppId, Seccret) I receive an error (APPLICATION SETUP FAILED. PLEASE CHECK YOUR APP ID AND APPLICATION SECRET.)

I have checked Facebook App configuration and all looks ok (e.g. App Domain configured).

It may be a simple configuration issue. Or there are additional known warnings?

I have seen people using it also recently (see posts in march/april).

I have downloaded and installed v10825, which claims 'New Facebook SDK support' ... does this not resolve the problems?

Which alternative do you suggest for login/subscribe with Facebook profile?

And: is there a similar login/subscribe using Google account?

Thanks Chris! Very useful. Same: I have tried a lot to get it function, but I guess the new Facebook API are affecting.

Guess we need to wait for an update ? ... :-)

I install Google Connect as the current working option ...
