Hi, the problem is that you dont have the php module mbstring enabled as required by the script. Please check to be sure all requirments for the script are met. :)
PHP modules:
- PDO
- DOM
- mbstring
- zip
- zlib
- ftp
- json
- php_openssl

Its not the first time they have done that to customers and wont be the last. They are so used to automated fixes and no hassle installs that when you actually ask them a question or need something special they fall short of customer service. That is just the way shared hosting is sadly.
