Same problem here.. was there any IOS update recently?
Carlos Padilla
No, it was working normally. And when I moved to a better server it stopped.

I only recommend it if you know what you are doing.

You have to change the database field type from utf8 to utf8mb4

Can you tell me where I do this?

You do that in phpMyAdmin... however before you go messing with that, send a message to the developer and let him know what is happening, he should be able to assist you.. If you make changes and you dont know what you are doing, you could create new issues or make the issue worse.

please make ab backup first.

Here is an excample of the message table for PMs, you´ll have to change it in other tables too, if the emojis have to work. Forums. comments, etc

phpMyAdmin is an interface accessed from an icon in your cPanel hosting admin.

Icon takes you here.

Maybe this is a restriction on the receivers end.   Could the receiver have some kind of text block enabled on their phone or not have something enabled on their phone.  Maybe their phone does not support such characters.

quote from the article:

These boxes and question marks appear because emoji support on the sender’s device is not the same as emoji support on the device of the recipient.

First of all I would like to thank you for the answers. Back to my problem, in the timeline, emojis usually appear only in the chat that does not.

you confuse me a bit....   is this issue with the oxwall chat at the bottom of the page, are you saying you send a emoji in that chat and the other person gets ????

how are you sending the emoji, by text code or by plugin?

remember that oxwall does not support mobile.  They have a mobile version but it is horrible and incomplete, so if you are trying to use the oxwall mobile version there is no support for that yet.

it might help if you take a snapshot or picture of what you are trying to do.
