Here is the wiki definition of spam.

Forum spam consists of posts on Internet forums that contains related or unrelated advertisements, links to malicious websites, trolling and abusive or otherwise unwanted information. Forum spam is usually posted onto message boards by automated spambots or manually with unscrupulous intentions with one idea in mind: to get the spam in front of readers who would not otherwise have anything to do with it intentionally.

As long as he stays within those boundaries he is welcome to add a few links here and there as long as he does not abuse or go to extreme with his links...  I hope you can understand my point on this.

For my spam they are publications that do not interest the majority of members of the community. Made by hand or machine and are few or many.

To despise the software for which we are here, to recommend a completely different one and not to contribute anything to the forum I do not see it correct.

If we had a section in the forum of "alternatives to OxWall" it would be the right place, but since there are no such "recommendations for other products" I don't think they have a place here.

The two big factors are 1. how many links and 2. are they related to the topic or the sites purpose.  He is allowed to plug his site as long as he does not abuse that by doing it like 5 times in a post (at our discretion) and it is directly related to the topic.

All of the spam we have deleted in the past does not fall into those rules so they were removed.
