#1. Spits and Cracks of Wooden Bed Platforms

Splits and cracks are the most commonly faced problem by wooden twin platform bedusers. If not salvaged early, fissures and cracks can damage your bed beyond repair. The most frequently affected areas are horizontal grain areas and at the edges. Upon notice, here are a few steps to follow when fixing the broken platform bed.

#2. Striping Parts

Fix the joints of the platform bed. Over time, the bones of the platform bed loosen. On some occasions, the loose joints can be reinforced with metal brackets. If you are changing the entire frame, you may need to install the brackets. Alternatively, you can choose to repair or remove the brackets entirely. #5. Remove the brackets

First, unscrew the metal in the metal brackets. After that, remove the brackets which are usually folded on an angle of 90 degrees and placed in the corners all-round the best platform bed. #7. Fixing Broken Slats

When the only thing broken in your platform bed is the slats, the most natural solution is to replace the broken slats. First, drill pilot holes of about 5/16 inches at the split ends by the use of an 11/4-inch screw. For more security, you can apply glue on each slat. If too many slats are broken, the best idea is to replace all the slats.

When you cannot find the real problem with the platform bed, then obviously the problem could be in the center of the bed.  Often the lumber placed on the lumber is most cases the weakest link in the platform bed. However, full platform beds have a center rail to provide more support as well. Once any part in the center cracks or breaks, the mattress will sag. In this case, you need to cut ¾ by 2 inches strips on the pines. Drill them all round with a 4-inch screw from the bottom basically to provide more support.

Force the tenon to the prop until the pin is tight enough. Drill two holes per pin, glue, and dowel all the four legs. Cut off the protruding ends of the legs and let the glue dry for 24 hours.
