i am trying to add similies to the ajax chat i have created a new folder static/images/myimage here.<br />

when a user types something like ;) my image will be replacing the ";)" in the message which file should i have to edit?
EDIT:
actually which file to edit so i could compare the symbol in the message and i can replace it with my image

I am sorry, but there is no common interface to implement smilies into Oxwall yet.

It is possible, but for some specific features only and requires a lot of code modifications.
