Big name but a simple idea and I would love to see it in operation in oxwall. Its about providing value and weight to content posted.

Basically all users are given a proscribed number of votes, which adds value to the vote mechanism.
If your content recieves a vote then that vote is carried to yourself so this adds value to your online entity.

Then a couple of leaderboards on leading content and entity.

If you want reward community contribution then the above gives the mechanisms to evaluate it.

Its seems simple and at first you will think it is already implemented but the slight changes provide what would be for want of a better explantionation a peer review meritocracy that could be the basis of advoacy sites to open source communities.
