I've been shooting invisible mannequin clothing shots for a few years now using regular retail-store dummy's and the classic invisible mannequin technique. I've never been too happy how to take pictures of clothes without mannequin themselves though as they tend to be posed rather than symetrical and the high gloss white plastic can cause hotspots under fine clothing. I have recently however discovered a new mannequin product designed specifically for photography and wondered if anyone out there had tried it? It retails for £389 here in the UK so its a bit expensive to take a punt on without being sure it will do the job. The main features are: Removable V segments to see through to the back of the garment Extended arms & legs with no feet hands Light grey, matt finish Looks very interesting - but will it work in practice?
