Hi all, I am creating a blog and want to host it on WordPress. My question is, if I host it and pay the service for 1 year what happens to the domain name after this year if I don’t want to pay anymore ? Will it still be the same or will it be downgraded to the previous URL used, mentioning . wordpress hosting?

There will be a grace period of few days or week depends on provider and after it your domain will be auctioned. If you're planning for the long term, get hosting for almost 5 years.
