on other social networks when a person comments on a post,blog,or forum they automatically start receiving updates about that post unless they click an option to unfollow well in 1.5 things do not seem to work like this I am classifying this as a developer bug because the developer should have obviously included something like this as part of the definition of being social is to follow current conversations and topics

I have no comment button on any posts so users cannot comment on older posts at all.
I guess you refer to "wall" here. Wall does not have comment option. :) I guess we discussed that in some other thread too.
