I need some help member invitations not working
in 1.5 it’s not listed in Privacy & Permissions

Ronald, you mean that you don't have "By My invitation Only" radio button under Privacy&Permissions? ( see screen shot attached)
Or it is there, but isn't working? If yes, then what do you mean by "not working: errors, guests can still join or something else?
