Hiya,

Our site is a private members site. I would prefer if onward links did not show up.

So for eg. Our users link from within our site to a wordpress blog. Then the wordpress system can see our private url?

So if I look at my wordpress blog it says:-

<a href="route to may oxwall/blogs/post/23" target="_blank">myowall/blogs/po logs/post/23</a>

Anyone know how to stop this?

Thanks,

Matt

Making your site "members only" might help.

Do you mean the options in 'Global Privacy' ?

I have  "Guests can view the site" set to no - but the referal still happens.

Those members can come to your page, bu can not view the content, if your disabled "guests view".

Yes, that seems true. Really I want to rewrite the onward referrer data to something other than my site, and the actual internal links.....

Hmmmm

Matt,  when a user clicks a hyperlink in a web browser, the browser sends a request to the server holding the destination webpage, so it is not possible to block referer on php level. Google how referer information can be hidden. A good place to start with is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_referer
