Email Notifications Not Being Received | Forum

Users aren't getting notifications of new subscribed posts by email, but the email verification and approval messages are received. The cron job gives no errors when I run it from the shell: wget http://www.sithacademy.com/ow_cron/run.php. ; I have set the SMTP settings as instructed by my host. Any idea what's going on? Thank you.

Sean, we have changed the way notifications work in 1.5 version of Oxwall.
Right now users get email notifications only if they have not loged in to your site for 2 days.

If they have loged in, they will see real time notifications in the user console ( upper right corner).

We understand that receiving notification by email is important, therefore we are currently working on developing another solution which would have worked both with email and real time notifications.

Why not help me out for once to avoid me duplicating all this question looking for answers... This silence kills... You think i like the way i post topics everywhere..Do i do it for fun or what.. For God sake am having problems and itz stressing me... I  got alot to do as well rather than sitting waiting for ur assistance all day and night and getting nothing. Is this the way a support team works.. We got others to serve as well and we cant sit down and tell them our tech support aren't given a response but push my topic from one forum to the other rather than resolving the issue for us....!! PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE ALIIA..

I understand your point Morribi.

Please keep in mind that Oxwall is a free, open source software. Don't expect answers to the questions posted on forum right away.
