I was putting together my own little training space in a friend's brick wing.
Over the weekend, I installed a pull-up film that is attached to the wall, the bar is steel and is attached to the brickwork with m6 through bolts.
Now my colleague asked me what kind of brick the wall is made of - single or double, I'm almost sure it's single and also quite old!
Now I'm wondering if I'm loading one wall too much by using a crossbar. My weight is about 90 kg, so it's not exactly a featherweight.
I thought about adding some wooden supports under the bars, as this seems to be the fastest and cheapest way to attach the bars, and also since the building is not mine, I want it all to be as removable as possible.
Can anyone tell me if this seems normal?
