Car insurance | Forum

Auto policy went up about 25%, changed companies saving $300+ a year, then the old carrier hit the homeowner's policy with the same increase from the auto policy they lost, now claiming it was a multi-policy discount. The increase will not be paid, in the event of a loss any shortage of premium is deducted from claims paid out. Already have another company waiting to replace State Farm.

What is going on with those insurance companies?

You can't beat the insurance companies. It's for sure! The prices increased and I'm sure they will go up further.

It seems we need to drive junk cars, never divorce, control our spouses, and live in small towns to not overpay for insurance. These companies will always find the reasons to increase the prices. I often read car-related news, and recently found an article about benefits and circumstances for refusing car insurance https://thegoneapp.com/benefits-and-circumstances-for-refusing-car-insurance/ Maybe you will also find it interesting.
