Can anyone tell me how to stop the groups posting to users dashboard feeds, i know it doesn't post to the main news feed but it does to users dashboards/profiles, how do i stop these posts.

check some things related to your newsfeed posts: admin/plugins/newsfeed/customization

Bazzabingbong, admin panel>>installed plugins>>newsfeed>>settings>>"content" tab>>uncheck 'Groups' checkbox. This will remove any activities related to "Groups" plugin both from main and dashboard newsfeeds.
