Better real spammers, rather than plugins that drive away our members.

I just got another complaint, i removed antispammmer, and the member can login now.

Guys,

Answering your questions.

Oxwall.org uses WatchDog anti-spam plugin, which in turn uses database of spammers from StopForumSpam.

You don't have to use this plugin on your installations. You can deactivate it or use another anti-spam plugin.

As Den has mentioned here http://www.oxwall.org/forum/topic/7533?page=1#post-39684 , we are planning to develop another solutions to stop spammers in future.

As for now, database provided by StopForumSpam is the best available option Oxwall can use, even though it is not perfect.

I just asked if you might at that time have not updated your antispammer ...

Unique: No update alert for the plugin.

My cPanel File Manager shows that it was uploaded on Feb 5.

I am an author in my native language, and my site is aimed at promoting online writers in that language. I do a column for a periodical, and in each issue I pick present a new writer along with a poem or story by the person.

Right now, when a person try to sign up, he/she will see a profile question (required) in our native language.
