Hey all, I've put together an itinerary of our most recent trip to the Vic High Country. We camped on the Wellington River just our of Licola, drove up and over Mt Wellington to Millers Hut and did some hikes from there. The most spectacular one being the 12km loop out to Lake Tali Karng. I could not recommend this area enough!

great trip report aidan, fantastic part of the world. tried getting up there in june '19 but was turned back by thick snow leading up to the summit of mt wellington (later learnt that someone had been rescued by the SES 2 days prior to our being there, so prob good move to turn tail). finally got up there cup weekend '19, went from 30'c on the friday night down on the wellington rv out of licola on the way in to getting snow up at millers hut on the monday. we did the hike to tali karng, was great & a fair workout dropping down to the lake & then back out, bloody steep. would have loved to have checked out the sentinels, when we were there the track in was closed from the hut, how long did the hike take u roughly ? def wanna get back there one day & check it out

Thanks a bunch for sharing your unique travel experience! It's always a delight discovering new, amazing places through fellow adventurers. Speaking of incredible spots, I recently explored the wonders of Upper and Lower Lake Clementine, and it was truly unforgettable. Spent quality time with family and friends, immersed in the beauty of nature. Kayaking, long walks, and soaking in the incredible surroundings – it's a haven for nature lovers. Definitely a must-visit if you're into picturesque places and the charm of nature. You might want to add it to your list for future adventures!
