Just wondering on the privacy and security of data within a site. Is there a recognised trusted plugin to deal with this?

I would like to set up a family site.
For one family member to pay and sign up then invite other family members via a credit scheme. All privacy within each family is set by default to be only viewed by family members and visa versa.
I need to add security some how to prevent other families accessing other families details etc
Is this possible?
I would also like to reassure new members of their secure data protection?

That would be possible , but with the current versions of the plugin/core. Might need some custom code changes.
