Since my site was launched on march 8th 2013 ,today 29th march 2013 ,my website views crossed nearly 5000 unique visits.  ,and nearly 10,000 views total visits[not sure  should i be proud of it or not]My users are not happy with the functionality and said it is too outdated. But my contents inside my website makes them interested.Thats all.Only 110 people registered ,with me as i am not forcing them to register with me because i let them decide it by themselves. If we had more functionality i am sure we could gain more users ,soon start advertising and i am even willing to give 3-5% of my total income to oxwall project. But in order for this to happen ,we need you guys to work harder to keep up with facebook.I came across IDEAS FOR OXWALL and i did find many important ideas there so , The only thing is that oxwall team must work harder, even 50 to 60 times harder than what you guy are currently doing.

A better oxwall site=more users=more ad revenue=more to donate to oxwall.

Cheers Team. You are the best but  WAY TOO slow :(

Facebook is different from G+ and the same with Oxwall. I personally feel being something different is better.

Just having a social network is not going to be successful. The theme (coffee lovers, bike riders, etc) and the way you run it makes the difference.

Also the new features that you provide them is more important. That makes them to come to your site.

I had to leave it for my choices between social engine or boonex dolphin, because i strongly believe that oxwall the platform itself is just way way too limited even for a developer like myself, is only so much you can do with plugins, so i for sure wont be donating at this stage :((

I have reviewed all of the social networking platforms (SNP) out there, focusing on free/paid open source software. I also tested both frontend and backend of SNP that provided easy access. My interest is to find an SNP as basis of online B2B timber marketplace for my association.

This is my view on Oxwall. While Oxwall is very promising in the spirit of free and open source, there are 2 major problems: Oxwall community lacks proven, passionate third party developers/designers; and Oxwall foundation is closed (limited to the original developers) while the software is open source. This is a serious problem!

Look at this good example. R Software (www.r-project.org) has become the leading statistical computing software in few years. How? The R software was started by 2 persons in 1993 in New Zealand, and since 1997, 20 persons including the original authors have "write access" to R codes based on their contributions. This is the spirit of free and open source, which works magically.
