To which folder on the server is this plugin moving the image? So i can apply somewhat relaxed CHMOD to that directory.

Hello Martin,
You should set writable permissions ( 777 ) to the following directories ( recursively - chmod -R 777 ... ):
ow_userfiles
ow_pluginfiles
ow_static
After setting the permissions, you should reinstall the plugin.
The following directories will be created after the reinstall:
ow_pluginfiles/uheader
ow_userfiles/plugins/uheader
ow_static/plugins/uheader
Make sure that these folders have writable permissions.
