You said its been down for 3 days, so if you have do this from two weeks ago, at least you can get you newsfeed back, will you lose some data, yes prob, but what is the other option, to be down a few more days.

Just bite the bullet,

If you have a backup before this hapened, just go into your DB and drop all the tables, then find the sql file on your backup and import that, you will lose a bit of data.   But you will be back up again, remember when you do this to disable your plugin right off, because the backup will have it enabled probably.

You learned a valuable lesson here, one we all have learned the hard way,  backup, backup, backup.  2 weeks and 2 days is not enough, it needs to be back up every day, then at the end of the month you keep the first of the month and the last of the month and archive those for 3-4 months then you can cycle those out.

Well, the Database backup i have is only Full site backup,

I don't want a full site back up.

As i get about 20 - 30 new daily members every day

If i did the full site backup, i will lose some members.

I dont know, but what you may end up doing is fiddling around with the newsfeed and messing up other tables too,  the newsfeed has connection to other tables so you may make it worse by trying to fix the newsfeed.

I restore tables all the time for my clients on lots of different db.  Just have someone do it that knows what they are doing and you can be back up in 10 min max.   If noone has registed in the last 2 weeks or 5 days or so and you havea backup then, now is the best time.

you dont have to do a full site backup,  inside that backup is a mysql folder with all of your db inside.

This is another reason that i peach against all the hands off free clouds or "lets us run you website for you" sales pitches, for this exact reason, people run websites and have no clue how to perform basic recovery or very basic tasks.   I feel everyone who runs a site should have to take a server 101 course first, it just helps them not only to do basic tasks but also so some salesperson cant fill you full of &**& and tell you things that are not true.

I need to get some rest but i think that restoring the db is your best option.  Those that signed up after that well, they will just have to re-register,  that is why you back up every day...

Good luck hope you get i fixed.. :)

Aliia it helped, that was easy to do thou,

My plugin was not overwriting the Code.

Btw, none of my plugins overwrite any original codes you have.

Plus it was a problem with Newsfeed not my plugin.

Thanks for the help

Hi Donamix,

i was have this problem today ( it was occurred because i was turned off my server )

i think that a tables of database was crashed ,

i was repaired database tables and problem was solved

what you should do is these:

1-back up your database

2- go to "phpmyadmin" and select your oxwall's database,

3- check all tables of your database

4- and then select "Analyze table"

and find crashed table and repair it.

or :

check this tables (related to newsfeed plugin) and choose for repair them:

ow_newsfeed_action_set     (i think this table should be crashed)

ow_newsfeed_action

ow_newsfeed_action_feed

ow_newsfeed_activity

ow_newsfeed_cron_

ow_newsfeed_follow

ow_newsfeed_like

ow_newsfeed_status
