I also have the plugin that alerts me of a newly registered member, that is sending doubles as well, sent a screen-shot to your PM.

Yes, I mean, yahoo, gmail whatever you use there. 

for the site I use Arvixe cpanel supplied Round-cube, for newly registered members alert I use Outlook.

Can you change it or ask some other members of your site, who uses different mail agents to confirm that they receive duplicate e-mails?

Yes, got notice from a member on this recently, she seems to be using AOL

The same with AOL only one message:

I am having a smilar issue. When I do a mass mailing it sends duplicates until the server quota is hit on my host.  Most of the users are getting about 16 emails each- I am wondering if there is a checklist of things to check. I already called the hosting company and was informed that everything is working on their end.
