Messages plugin makes my site HORRIBLY SLOW as well. I am on a dedicated server with MORE than enough resources to handle 3 oxwall sites. .
I certainly hope they can get this fixed quickly and permanetly.
I think this is no small issue. What use is a community site without private message capabilities????
I have to keep messages disabled until they come up with something that works.

I am using the old message system it works with 1.7 so it will do until I see that the new one has all the bugs worked out funny you would think they would have tested all this before its release

Can anyone confirm that problem is closed and I can also upgrade to the latest mailbox version?
