Im not sure what happened but i am getting an e500 error when i try to go on to the user end of my site.

When I put on the Debug mode i get

Message:Argument 1 passed toLINKS_CLASS_EventHandler::onCollectEnabledAdsPages() must bean instance of BASE_EventCollector, instance ofBASE_CLASS_EventCollector givenFile: /home1/thaimode/public_html/ow_plugins/links/classes/event_handler.phpLine: 245

then when i go to the line in the event_handler.php i find

)); OW::getEventManager()->trigger($event); }

How can i fix this??

I see earlier messages about reloading a back up then re updating to 1.71... how do i reinstall a backup?? and what if i havent made a back up???

I deactivated the credits history plugin and the e500 error stopped for the admin area and I was able to finish updating I also noted that the advertisement plugin will cause a 500 error with any plugin that has not been updated to 1.7.1

kyle gore you will need to update your Links plugin to get rid of this error

Steve, I saw in other topic that you have updated already and have problems with advertisement plugin. What about these errors? Do you still have them?

Guys, please do back up of your files and DB, disable all 3rd party plugins, switch to the default themes, update platform first, then plugin.

http://www.oxwall.org/forum/topic/24133 read this post,

as to the update, yes it is critical as most of the reported bugs have been fixed, there are several enhancement of the interface and other things.

@Anas mansour
( @Aliia already posted instructions on how to do this )
But if you already updated from 1.7.0 to 1.7.1 and cannot access your admin dashboard, this is how I was able to access my admin panel from e500.php was:
#1 Go to my hosting cPanel
#2 Go to phpmyadmin
#3 Find my Oxwall database
#4 Locate ow_base_plugin
#5 Edit all 3rd Party Plugins and change all isActive from 1 to 0
(1) means activated and (0) means deactivated.
#7 Access your Oxwall admin dashboard
#8 Uninstall Contact us plugin and delete. Go here http://www.oxwall.org/store/item/13 and download plugin and re-install Contact us plugin
#9 Now you can update Advertisement plugin
#10 Activate all other 3rd party plugins one at a time and update.

Caution: Do not edit database if not familiar with it. You can break your site, Remember to back up database before editing!

Hope this helps!

As to this notice:

Message: Undefined offset: 1

File:/var/www/vhosts//httpdocs//ow_system_plugins/base/bol/theme_service.php

Line:607

I believe you have enabled debug and dev mode at the same time, if you disable dev mode, the error will go away.

as to this error:

Message:file_put_contents(/var/www/vhosts//httpdocsow_log/error.log): failed to open stream: No such file or directoryFile:/var/www/vhosts//httpdocs//ow_system_plugins/base/classes/file_log_writer.phpLine:61

you need to rename ow_logs to ow_log and set permissions to 777

as to the button can you please write what the button title should be?
