We have a product manager who selects the bugs which needed to be fixed in update. We have our internal roadmap of bug fixes and new features, which we stick to.

If you're referring to the Oxwall Foundation staff, this is not possible. If some third party dev, you're free to do that.

Possibly have your dev submit changes here: https://bitbucket.org/oxwall/public

The team would probably see if it's good and then merge it.

Quote from Tammy Ok but will the fixes i pay some one to fix will they be added to the plugins and core
You need to arrange that with the devs directly, but keep in mind that when you update the software with our official update, your changes will be overwritten

if oxwall will not add the fixes to the core i will then have to pay extra to get them made into plugins  and put in the store

then if i have to pay the extra and pay to keep them updated on oxwall version updates i can not put them in the store as free

if they would be added to the core im happy to pay to get the fixes done and give to oxwall as thanks for there hard work

from 1.6  to 1.8.1 the url rewrites have been the biggest issue with oxwall
photos no alt tags  have been problem forever

so one has to ask why has the product manager
not pulled there finger out and got this fixed in so long of time

the rewrite problem would take all of 10 minutes for oxwall to implement a temp fix

simple in admin a button to turn the rewrites on and off
so anyone change there site to ssl can turn it on so it can do all the rewrite stuff them turn it off again in few days when its done

photos alt tags

5 minutes for oxwall to fix
but in how many years of updates and stuff that the
product manager
can not delegated for some one to spend 5 minutes on fixing it

Alright this is a customer site when we try to force the site to appear as https in apache mod it causes the site to fail. You will need to have your developer change the site URL to reflect the https.

Marcus

i have ssl on this site before 2 times one time on hostgator same ssl as now and one time on siteground

12:24:48 AM

Marcus

so i have ssl on this site before so it should not bee any problems

The SSL is installed:

whynopadlock.com/check.php

Jason V

We need you to update the URL to display it. Our normal way to force the SSL to display doesn't work for your site.

We are not developers you will need to change the Site URL to https

what did you do to put ssl on ??

all you need to do is install the ssl key on your server

then go to config file and add the s to your url
http://www.mysite.com/

to
https://www.mysite.com/

then if your site has run long time none ssl wait your db to finish getting smashed as
the crazy rewrite thing trys change every link in the db to https

your db server may even crash a few times and you will need to restart it

it works :) but https is gray color?not green color only 1 second green then after 1 second https is gray in google browser? i want it green some other sites that use ssl?

tammy harris Jan 12 '16
you can only have one http or https
because of the stupid rewrite url problem that the product manager

does not seam to think its such a big problem

you can not use htacess anymore to turn ssl on or the other way around off on
any pages

this problem is 3 times the size of other things and was reported long time before lots of the other things they did fix
like
Newsfeed [newsfeed]: - private blog posts no longer show up in general Newsfeed;

you will have to do one of 2 things
use https://www.whynopadlock.com/

to fix some of the problems and just sit back and wait as time go by the things in newsfeeds will get pushed lower and not be a problem

2 use https://www.whynopadlock.com/

and go mad at try change every link in th db to https
