Hi Webster Molaudi

The new plugin haves compatibility with the old smileys plugin, you can configure your old custom codes to make it work properly.

For instance, if you want that one of the new emojis replaces one of the old smileys, just edit the emoji and add the "Compatibility code" (old code), so all the old codes can still work with the new plugin. It works with custom codes too.

Or if you want to keep the old image/gif, you need to upload the image manually and add the old code in the "Compatibility code" field in the form.

So basically the old code of the old smiley can trigger to load the new code....So for example if the old cold is (wave) which is the old smiley and i select compatibility code and i put in (wave) it will pull the new emoji instead of the old (wave) smiley using the old smiley code?

That is right!

The new codes are in the emojis short code format "", (wave) will be converted on the fly to  and then to the respective new emoji image.
And for make it work properly you must deactivate the old smileys plugin.

SD i think i am impressed most at the fact that for your first plugin you took on a monster.  Thats impressive!!

I know people have wanted this for a very long time but i suck at js and jquery and just know enough to get me into trouble lol...

I am so glad that a great developer that really seems to care about their customers  took this on and got it done!   Great job and it looks great from what i can see by the pics. :)

OH i forgot to mention, you dont have to do this but i find its a good practice.   I always make three topics in my plugin area for a new plugin.   Change Log, Suggestions, and Language Packs.   Lock the change log one because you just want to keep it only for change logs and not for client messages. Suggestions is self explanitory and Language Packs is for people that want to donate a language pack for your plugin.

Hope that helps :)
