Dave, I agree with your last post, and that for everyone in all places not just here in oxwall.
I disagree when you say that the problem is not there because just a few complain about it. You know oxwall is not wordpress, neither haves the same amount of users so we don't see a lot of people complaining here. I have seen problems in the core that have not readed a single one person complain about it, it doesn't mean that it doesn't exist.
The software Windows has to deal with a lot of configurations, a lot of different hardware, a lot of different software and have to be robust and trusted. Haves billions on paid developers and yet there is a lot of bugs that are found by the users, so we can't deny that all sofware have bugs, it is just that our configuration is not the same, the user should not be the one to blame if the software crashes after and update, it is softwares fault. If something are going to crash, there should be a fallback so the user can recover their previous version with just a few clics. Or at least tell them that the server is not capable of running the new oxwall version before the update.
Tammy, it is a shame that you have to delete all your 4 years of work. If i may, i would tell you that if you have the money, not delete them, you can seek for a good developer that fixes all your problems. There is an excelente website where i used to look for work "freelancer.com". There is a lot of awesome developers in there and at an competitive price.
I really don't know why you delete user accounts (maybe they are false?) but one website that haves a lot of real users, worth a few houndread dollars at least, so you can sell them instead of just erase.
I have been readed all your post since a few days, i see in between some bad words about someone that pull me back of comment about it, because i don't want to get in trouble and don't want to be one more of the bad people that you are complaining of.
