Dave, I agree with your last post, and that for everyone in all places not just here in oxwall.

I disagree when you say that the problem is not there because just a few complain about it. You know oxwall is not wordpress, neither haves the same amount of users so we don't see a lot of people complaining here. I have seen problems in the core that have not readed a single one person complain about it, it doesn't mean that it doesn't exist.

The software Windows has to deal with a lot of configurations, a lot of different hardware, a lot of different software and have to be robust and trusted. Haves billions on paid developers and yet there is a lot of bugs that are found by the users, so we can't deny that all sofware have bugs, it is just that our configuration is not the same, the user should not be the one to blame if the software crashes after and update, it is softwares fault. If something are going to crash, there should be a fallback so the user can recover their previous version with just a few clics. Or at least tell them that the server is not capable of running the new oxwall version before the update.

Tammy, it is a shame that you have to delete all your 4 years of work. If i may, i would tell you that if you have the money, not delete them, you can seek for a good developer that fixes all your problems. There is an excelente website where i used to look for work "freelancer.com". There is a lot of awesome developers in there and at an competitive price.

I really don't know why you delete user accounts (maybe they are false?) but one website that haves a lot of real users, worth a few houndread dollars at least, so you can sell them instead of just erase.

I have been readed all your post since a few days, i see in between some bad words about someone that pull me back of comment about it, because i don't want to get in trouble and don't want to be one more of the bad people that you are complaining of.

If you make a valid point that is fact and not fiction and prove me wrong il eat humble pie with the best of them
I tryed freelancer a went throught 20 developers there
They all come the same conclusion after 2 or 3 weeks
Theres just so many problems it would be cheaper to start from scratch

So there is your solution, you can do it better, it is smart move to start again if is going to be better at the end.

I wish you the best luck in the world, wherever you go i know that you can do it better. As I said, if you have the money, you can do whatever you want.

When i say start again i mean to star with the same domain with different platform, or even with your own script, not all scripts fits to everyones business, and not everyone have the same problems. So your solution may be start again with another script.

I don't know why they say that, but in the end they say will be fixed, so that's something.

Yes everthing is marked to be fixed its just the fixing part that never gets done

We are not paying them for the core and free plugins, so we can't demand to fix core and free plugins. But as it is open source, you can edit it and republish it in a plubic repository so you get the credit for fixing it, if you pay to somebody to fix it for you, you can resell your pack of fixes or put them for free. That applies in all open source not just here. It is called premium support and you don't need their approvement to do it.

Thats where you are wrong oxwall is not free
The law states this because oxwall sell plugins and themes that operate on a free core then both the paid plugins and thems and core are cover by consumer law

Do a search on digital goods and consumer laws

They may all be covered under consumer law, however they are probably covered under different articles of that law which means that the law is applied differently to each one.

Thats where there should be a know bug tracker
It would take a month just to write them all down theres thousands

Then put a legal demand and do it in the proper way, you have been complaining for years without answer, it is time to go forward.

There is nothing more I can say, I said everything already.
