Try using localhost or yourdomain.com (without http://www.) as hostname.

SinG,

do you have a $ in your ftp password, if so move it to the end of your password.

if not tell us about your setup.  Are you on linux, php version, cpanel ?  does your server meet the minimum requirements on the RIGHT side of this page?

OK run this and tell me if it passes.

https://developers.oxwall.com/store/item/1356

AND/OR

check the requirements using phpinfo(), if oxwall is a subdomain you can just create a php file with phpinfo(); inside it.  If oxwall IS the public_html then youll have to add the phpinfo(); to the 2nd line of the  ow_includes/config.php file and load the site.

Be sure to do this quickly and then change the file back so noone else gets the info.  Then you can just scroll the php info on the page after the file is changed back.  In other words you have the php info loaded on the page already, you dont want anyone else to load it so just change the file back and save it.

If you dont know anything about phpinfo() then you can read here..

OK, the reason for some of the fails and warnings is that you dont have shell_exec enabled and thats how i check it.  I plan to update the plugin to also use another method when i get a chance.

So some of those you will need to check with phpinfo()

Check those yellow and red items out with phpinfo and if they all check out we can go from there, let us know.

@ dave

I check it in phpinfo()  , modules which showed cross sign whether red or yellow are not present in phpinfo() .

Well i hope you have cron, you need that.  Being on a shared server which i think you are, you should have that.

Ross may have to take a look and see whats going on.

ftp.site.com and pw should be fine so it has to be username or port.

make sure username is  name@site.com

are you sure the port is 21, it should be by default, is that the port you connect with in filezilla?

1. Login to cPanel

2. Click on the FTP Accounts icon

3. Scroll down and find the FTP account you normally login with and click Configure FTP Client

check the connection info there

There is a difference between connecting with filezilla and connecting with a web software.  There are server configurations that could let filezilla access but not a web server.

So i would ask your host for help and see what they can offer.  We will still try to help you but you really need to see what they say first, they should be your first contact. :)

Make sure you tell them that you can access via filezilla but not via website ftp.

I got answer from host

They Don't t provide the browser version of FTP connection. Because in their server they allow only the ftpes and sftp connection. So I  have to use the FTP client only to connect to file manager.
