Oxwall owned and controlled by a certain entity, and this entity does not make any money, not event an advertisement banner here, today or tomorrow it will collapse, the differences just "soon" and "very soon".
As a developer, i am willing to give up 20% - 30% revenue of plugin sale to oxwall, but they choose to let the developer to have 100% of the sale revenue, this is the problem.
I think that will make the software better i see already it have get good result.....
I have created some more ideas finished plugins and i want to share them but i not good at coding so i worry i will not have the time or money update them in future and update them if need something better....
plus i wait for this core update so i know them will work on next update before i release them....
i get nothing for analyze pugins here and make them much better...but i will do it 100% free for make this software better and better.......
I hope ther will bee a update that is worth waiting for almost 1 year....I would prefer 2 updates in 1 year much better then 1 update in 1 year...
If there is any way I can volunteer my time to keeping the product and platform alive, just send me a message.
Omari
i think it need more then +1 for two volunteers to bee come a volunteer, but who know maybe i wrong
I'm new here and seeing a post like this does concern us or anyone who has just found Oxwall and looking to invest time in using this system for their business. Obviously, there is no point using this if development has ceased or interest is waning.
However, there are some activity on Github for this project so that is reassuring to know. But it would be nice if developer can make a very small blog post on the progress of development. This would put us all at ease.
One thing we would like to raise as a newcomer is the store. We are happy to support their development but how the hell do you know what a plugin does with lack of details before you purchase? and is there any system in place to ensure the quality and security of the plugins since it is hosted on Oxwall? this is important as it can reflect badly for Oxwall if plugins are of low quality.
We chose Oxwall because it seems to have a lot of potential and features that is only found in Oxwall compare to other OS social network projects out there. But the store is off-putting. Plugins are part of this ecosystem so the quality needs to reflect this.
It says:
We are proud to let you know the availability. This version’s major improvements are Amazon S3 - Remote Cloud Storage, CloudFront - Content Delivery Network and PHP 7 support.
i will not tell what software here in thsi forum but i hope oxwall will follow
@OW-Ghost phpfox already has all these improvement since last year. The price is a bit steep but after some further assessment, i think we will go with phpfox. It is far more professional.
Good luck with Oxwall.
So i'm jumping ship...
There is a mobile app available for phpfox as an add-on. Both Android and iphone app. A bit pricy but it's a one time payment and free updates for life.is there any demo on the apps that you can testing? send me link
So i'm jumping ship...
