my first question would have been, which folder are you uploading, too many times they upload the outer plugin folder rather than the inside folder and the script will not recognize that.
I personally never upload the zip and let the script unzip it because I like to look to see what I am putting on my server first. So I unpack it and then ftp it up.
So did we get this issue taken care of finally?
