In the listings, you can avoid being shown by commenting on these lines as shown in the image. It is the file
yoursite.com/ow_system_plugins/base/controllers/user_list.php
Requires that you put the web in DEBUG mode, see a list of members and go back to normal mode.
I do not know if there are more sites where it is shown, tell me and I will find the right file to edit

Not really, I still want them to put in the birthday, but would like the option to hide the age on their profile page and members list/page...

There are two types of developers, amateurs like me who make a plugin from time to time and professionals who live from this, like ArtMedia https://developers.oxwall.com/user/toar which is the best I know and the fastest he will do it.
It is not a complicated modification and you can take advantage of it to show another field of the profile instead of this one.

I unchecked the "view" in properties....
The birthdate is now hidden, but the profile header still shows the age....

If you have text edits like this one:
that allows you to search in all files in a folder tree, search getAge( in all PHP files, but be careful when editing them that can ruin the entire web.
Make a copy of all the PHP you edit just in case it does not work

I already have these modifications done.

You will need the two accounts to see how it works
You can enter both accounts at the same time using two browsers, for example Chrome and Explorer. If you use the same browser you can only enter one account at a time.
One thing to keep in mind is that Cron in this testsite I have it every 20 minutes, and the Privacy plugin updates the permissions with Cron.
So you do not have to wait, you can trigger the cron manually by clicking on this link. somoscd.es/testsite/ow_cron/run.php
(does not show anything on the screen)
I have left the Admin account with the hidden age "Only Me" too.

What I wanted is that EVERY user could show this information or not according to "preferences".
I did it in a couple of hours but I should have lost interest ...
I was providing some passwords that were not valid, I was slow in answering the messages and in the end I closed the FTP half transfer files.
It made me lose a full day and at the end of this work nobody takes advantage.
