Ok I am trying to recover my site from a recent server hack.
I had to remove the shout box plugin by going to file manager and deleting it, only because the plugin didnt come with an uninstall file. I also manually removed the tables from the database but now whenever you visit the newsfeed on the "main" page it produces a 500 internal error. This happened around 3 months ago and someone posted a working resolution but I cant find it anywhere.
If someone could please assist I would really appreciate it.

It looks like its to do with the widget as when I go to admin panel and try to edit dashboard we get the same errors.
Any ideas?

Michael, you will need to install Shoubox plugin again. While installing you will be getting errors like "duplicate key entry". Just ignore them. Once the plugin is installed, uninstall it using "Uninstall" button. This should solve the Database Exception error from your screen shot.
