Is it possible to update from 1.4 to 1.5.1

That is a very good question because Hostgator are still using that older version as QUICK INSTALL  to set up oxwall.

I am making a new installation and so no new data to back up , in fact if there was a install button here then i would rather click that directly from oxwall to my host space.
Downloading zip file and then extracting into host space is messy and just complete fail for me .

Any simpler install suggestion ?

After upgrading to 1.5.1 my admin account no longer has the ability to access the admin area, nor is the login/logout icon available.  Has anybody experienced this?  I can no longer administer the site.  Any assistance/guidance for resolving this would be appreciated.

Uninstall leaving the database on the system then a fresh install of the the oxwall update 1.5.1 you can then resurrect your site by transferring the fields data from your old data base to your new. You will need to down load your prior theme from the oxwall store re set up your design.

Make sure you do not delete anything from your old data base.

Have you tried loging in using the direct /signin-in URL and enabling DEV MODE?

i gather your site is in maintenance mode normally Robert you only have to use http://yoursitesURL/sign-in

I would of though DEV MODE is all ready enabled?

Me still don't getting the update notice.

I tried this tutorial: http://www.oxwall.org/forum/topic/7924 (also, sticky it, it really useful, I guess~), so my admin panel prompts it:

Oxwall can't connect to update server. Seems you need to enable `url_fopen` in your php settings.

So I search in my Host docs and found I should add

- php_value allow_url_fopen 1

- php_value allow_url_include 1

To my .htaccess, but, until now, nothing happened.

Please, someone gimme some support, I don't wanna reinstall my site again...

Yes, it's setted to runs every 5 mins, as my host suggested, also, I already tried to runs it manually and nothing.
