is it possible to add an "edit"-function to the dropdown box (atm it's only possible to delete the post) in the newsfeed?
as well it would be interesting, that users are not allowed to delete posts, but mods or admins are.

It is possible.
You can either suggest this feature to UserVoice or do this yourself via custom code modification.

thanks for your reply. This means that no user had already this idea ;) i thought that maybe someone already implemented such a function but i wasn't able to find it in the forums.
i meant that no user should be able to delete their posts - only an admin or a moderator should be able to delete their own as well as user posts.

It's been nearly 4 years, and nobody asked for that feature ? I see a similar request in https://developers.oxwall.com/forum/topic/44129, with the related idea. I just added a comment to underline the necessity of editing not only for comments but for posts themselves.

There is comment editor but it is not worth the money the original was automatically loading the php line break code in and you had to delete those before you submitted the correction and now the updated version the edit box won't even open up.
If Jk would get off his you know what and fix it then it would sell like hot cakes but it is not even worth $0.50 as it is right now.

It is possible to add an edit function to the dropdown box in the newsfeed. However, this would require customization of the platform's code, which may not be possible depending on the platform you are using.
Regarding users being unable to delete posts, this is also something that can be customized within the platform's code. You could set it up so that only moderators or admins have the ability to delete posts, while regular users do not.

Although there is a comment editor, the cost is not justified. The Retro Bowl College edit box won't even open in the revised version; in the old, the php line break code was automatically loaded in; you had to remove those before submitting the repair.
