i am also getting tired of those spammers i am a fansite beeing monitored by a game called Tibia and this is not good if i get those spammers on my site

that would never of happened if the title had not been present in the branding. but to get rid of the spam just add 2 or 3 required questions that normally gets rid of the default avatar spam agent. My Code Whacker site and 3 others are totally free of spam. One more additive is to set up a green room call it say Newbies. Give the role no ability to post anything. This means you can vet and get rid of any spammers and change the role of genuine people with interest in your site.

Your welcome Michel I am at war with the default avatar spammer in the end I will win. I totally hate these people that spam and have no care for others to get their advertising across.

I also dislike IP spam protecting software because it blocks thousands of IPS and never will solve the spamming problem without upsetting non spammers. Thus limiting down people interested in community sites.

These plugins also cause problems with CPU overload on servers and annoy Hosting services. Agreed that spamming bot not stopped do the same thing.

yes because your phone is on a IPS that's been blocked just imagine how many other cell phone servers have been blocked we are talking thousands of ISP's

I just transfered over an existing site that was spam free for years over to Oxwall and on the first day had to delete 50 spammers that tried to sign up.

I have no choice but to leave the manual approve profile on

My site is for public (no manual approve)... (just like other social networking method ).... but I got a lot of spammers before, everyday may be more than 10 spammers sign up and post to blogs (they posted drug/sex article/duplicate sexs article with different username) and video (they posted porn video/duplicate video with different username)...After activating the latest updated antispammers.... it seems my site is now free of spammer without having to disable the blog section or use manual approve...

Well this anti spammer of me if fully updated and still having problems with spammers,i cant buy anti spam programs cuz its only possible to pay with paypal and not ideal or something else

The point is the fact we would never had spam in this title did not lead spammers to our site. My system works that's why Code Whacker is spam free and has been so for 4 months. The proof is in the pudding. But this topic was one asking permission to remove the title tool tip on the branding and not a place to advertise spam IP blocking software. Sorry to say i find it totally unnecessary. It does not matter if its been updated thousand of IPS's still get blocked and it causes a problem with CPU usage overload. 

Its always just been a matter of adding required questions to the profile questions to upset the spamming agents template. Even if you have 1,000 users joining each day the spamming agent bot will be stopped in its track. The default avatar spammer has only been the real big problem and his advertisers are limited to hundreds. If we can block the agent on Code Whackerit does not take a rocket scientist to work out why and please lets be honest those trying to fob off the spam checkers know what I say is total true. I do not lie!  I also have integrity!

Your argument is leading to something else cit27, because if you look at the logic concerning the situation the default auto spammer seems to be finding new sites with in a two days or so. This means two things either a search engine is being used or that Oxwall's data has been compromised. The later I tend not to want to believe.

So how are Oxwall's sites being found by the false avatar spam agent?

P.S. I do tech on a few clients sites as active as you stated, it works fine Unique. Totally no reason to be scared in trying it out.
