The Cron Test plugin is a great plugin overall - however, I think it could use some improvements. Hopefully the dev reads this review. Once the plugin is installed - all that is next to it is "Deactivate" and "Uninstall", which is okay, but perhaps instead of the description under, which is: "Cron Job troubleshooting", the dev could add this: "Cron Job troubleshooting - Hover over your Dashboard icon and click Cron Test". That way, it helps the user of this plugin to navigate to where they need to be in order to use this plugin. Secondly, along with the many examples provided once on the cron test page, to add this one as well: "php /home/usernameGoesHere/public_html/folderName/ow_cron/run.php" - in the event that the user has their oxwall software setup in either an "add-on" or "sub-domain" rather than their main directory. Just a few things to note - if added, this will truly be the ultimate plugin to make sure users cron jobs are working properly!
I suspected something may be wrong with my cron since members were remaining online. Installed this plug in, ran it. Sure enough the window remained blank. No cron activity. I went to Cpanel, but couldn't adjust the cron. I kept getting a JSON parse error. I ran the cron through the http:// link. Now it's working again. Ran the cron test again; now it's showing activity. Thanks Marco for providing a tool to check this, and providing info on what to do if there is a problem.
Great job, I've always had problems with cron and with this plugin'm happy !!! Congratulations to the developer to revise the two nonsense of the first version so fast and friendly. From here I encourage you to post more plugins!
