Guys, thank you for your reports we have passed it to our developer team, however the fix require refactoring of the newsfeed code, which is why it will be implemented in the next update of the software only.

Guys, thank you for your reports we have passed it to our developer team, however the fix require refactoring of the newsfeed code, which is why it will be implemented in the next update of the software only.that's was the response, Ross is telling you it will be implemented in the next update of the software only. Now "when" that will be is undetermined at this point. Might be at least 1 or 2 months before they do another "core" update. 1.7 came out on July 8th and now 1.7.1 on August 25th so it may be some time before the new release.
you dont have this isssue because u upgrade from old versions !
if you want sure about this issue download now 1.7.1 version and install it in your local host or another... !
with this bug oxwall need new version or bug fix version! can you handle it? :|
just see the last attachment !
i think ross saw and then send a reply! i promise to you it's big bug !
not just in my site ! i test it on 18 other site too ! :))
do you wanna test your site? just send a prv msg and your link !
thank you ben, thank you youzeur , thank you hadi kamel !
dear wilson, i tested the demo version but we don't have this bug there! How come you could NOT reproduce this issue at http://demo.oxwall.org/ ?but when you download is this link http://www.oxwall.org/download and install then u see there is a bug on your installed version. i tested 1.7 and 1.7.1 on different host too !
i take new video step by step ! download - install - create normal user - delete posts!
i test delete post on four persian popular oxwall site !!! all of them update version too 1.7.1 !!!
I can confirm that after updating users can delete other users comments in the newsfeed - even an admins comments.
They can't however delete other users comments if they actually go to the group etc, they can only do it from the newsfeed.
This is pretty serious as it makes comments useless, it should be fixed as a matter of urgency and not made to wait until the next major release.
hey Sean,Everyone's setup is different, some have this problem (which I believe might be the majority of us) while others don't. In this case, you don't have it (lucky! :D ) but that still doesn't rule out that it shouldn't be fixed or claimed to be a problem on one person's side.
But not all of us are experiencing this issue that's what is strange. You can not reproduce this issue at http://demo.oxwall.org/ as I have tried and at my own test site...so again not all of us are experiencing this issue. That's all I'm trying to say here guys.

hey Kamell,
just an FYI: Not all of us are having this issue, this is an isolated issue with some not ALL. Ross replied to this post. Those who are having this issue will have to wait for the next core update....could be a few months.
