did you deactivate all plugins and switch to default theme

put a backup in to get site running again the deactivate plugins and switch to origin them then run update then activate plugins

dont uninstall plugin  deactivate them

it says this now The source code of 'Messages' plugin was updated. Need to update plugin DB.

i did already update the db plugin it doesnt do anything anymore now >.<

i gonna restore again im not updating anymore cuz those steps didnt work for me

you need put full back in noy just script but sql as well

or wait for ross to answer there a way to i think change plugin versions or something in db

i did delete some out of my db updated the plugins again still getting the same error e500.php

i just upload my buckups,,stil e500.php error too. 

at first, after update i saw on this page domain/ow_updates/index.php  and update completed ( go to index/ admin page)

now it shows me that Update Request (go to index/ admin page)  and e500 error

Kostia, do you by any chance use "Credits History and Transfer Credits" plugin?

If you are using it in combination with Skalfa's "User Credits" plugin, then your issue with update might be related to "Credits History" plugin.

1.You should deactivate all third party plugins before updating.
2.Before updating always enable DEBUG mode in config.php


In any case, I came across one issue when client got 500 error after update. Enabled debug mode showed following error:



The error was related to "Credits History and Transfer Credits" and disappeared when this plugin was deactivated. If you will see the same error with enabled debug mode then deactivate this plugin and contact plugin developer.

Though your error might not be related to this plugin. You need to find out what is behind 500 error before taking any further actions.
