On my site the avatar is a must (dispaly and set required). I have the last Oxwall version, but all new user via mobile version are without avatar, if the use by registration .png or .gif file. There is no message about incorrect file type. I discover and find out that the system accept only .jpg files!!!1
It is strange, because by editing their profile, they can upload png or gif.

I found out that sometimes the users remove their avatar too, so I made this plugin to force users to upload their avatar. If they remove their photo or their photo wasn't uploaded for any reason, the user is redirected to upload avatar form. They cannot leave this page until they successfully upload their avatar. This really helpful for social networks like yours.
