How would I update a plugin NOT through the admin interface of my site?
Would I just FTP into the server and overwrite the file folder for the plugin with the newly updated version? Or would I delete the plugin folder and upload the new folder for new version?

So I've had to move hosts but now I get errors :( Could somebody please take a look for me and explain what needs doing to fix the error please? I prefer to host myself but it's not even loading it up for me so I have no choice but to use other hosts :(

I accessed my site this evening and see a 500 blank white page error. Again.
I had made no changes at all today. No changes for a couple of weeks. I am confused.
